The Office of Technology Management is seeking master's, JD, and PhD candidates to join its paid commercialization analyst internship program from Summer 2024 through Spring 2025. We are the office responsible for protecting and commercializing innovations developed at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In this position you will develop an understanding of intellectual property law, market and industry analysis, and licensing strategies. You will assess new innovations for patentability, commercial readiness and next steps. OTM staff will mentor you to ensure your professional development.

Open to: UIUC master's, law, and PhD students in any scientific field (PhD students must have approval from their advisors before a job can be accepted).

Pay rate: $25.00/hour

Hours: Summer months: 35 hours/week (Ph.D. candidates only work 35 hours/week the first two weeks); Class months: 10 hours/week.
