Tuneable High Throughput Platform for Studying Protein-Membrane Interactions

 

Researchers at the University of Illinois have developed a precisely controlled high throughput platform for studying protein-lipid bilayer interactions in a precision manner. The technique does not require chemical modification or tagging of biomolecules preventing alterations to their native and thus active conformations. The platform can be used to expedite studies of protein-bilayer interaction mechanisms or drug desing strategies.
