Antimicrobial Polypeptides (AMPs)

Potent cationic, helical homo-polypeptide antimicrobials with radial amphiphilicity demonstrate stable α-helical confirmation, a hydrophobic helical core, a charged exterior shell and simple design.  These AMPs are stable against proteases and reflect several key characteristics:

  • High antimicrobial activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
  • Effective against drug resistant bacterial strains
  • Low hemolytic activity
  • Bacteriostatic and bacteriocidal
  • Enhances commercial antibiotic effectiveness
